Dysphagia is the sensation of food or liquid sticking, lagging, or having difficulty passing through the esophagus into the stomach.
Causes include peptic esophageal strictures, achalasia cardia, motility disorders, corrosive injury, or esophageal lesions.
Care Hospital evaluates swallowing disorders using HD Upper GI Endoscopy, Barium swallow radiology, and performs therapeutic balloon dilatation when strictures are present.
