Jaundice is the yellowish discoloration of the eyes (sclera) and skin caused by elevated bilirubin levels in the bloodstream.

Differentiated into Hepatic Jaundice (caused by acute viral hepatitis, alcoholic liver disease, or cirrhosis) and Obstructive Jaundice (caused by gallstones blocking bile ducts or pancreatic lesions).
